Here's my version of Dawn Griffith's Faux Grid technique--thanks Dawn! (May 29, 2009)
Following Dawn's video, I used white cardstock for my grid and mounted it on dark brown cs. Instead of her cute fishies, I used leaves and an acorn from an old retired SU stamp set (Fall Whimsy.) After coloring in the squares and images, I added the greeting. For the finishing touch, I used Ice Stickles for a little glitz.
We all enjoyed making these cards at Mothers Class, too!

Very cute idea on this card! Love the whimsical feel. Sorry I missed you at Fall Fest, too. I was at table #10! You didn't happen to find a photo memory card, did you? I lost one there when I swapped out for a new one. Was very careful to put it in a zippered bag, but think it fell out when I removed something else later. All my family & stamping photos since March. I'm just sick about it.
Love this card, the colours are so vibrant! TFS... I hope you are doing well, I am still struggling with a lot of pain, but trying to stay positive!! Hugs always!
Very cool card! Love how you used Fall Whimsy...that set gives me fits.
