This easily could have been a Simple Saturday card since it was assembled in less than 10 minutes from scraps on the table.
The dsp was just large enough to cover the oval opening, so I taped it to the back of the blue cs and mounted the panel to the white card base with dimensionals. Next I glued the dragonflies, left over from a previous card, to the panel.
The greeting is from a wavy banner set from Frantic Stamper which includes 2 banner dies. Once I attached the greeting, the card was done!

PAPER PLAYERS #346
I think this coordinated stamp/die set, "Botanical Blooms," is THE BEST set Stampin' Up has ever come up with! I love the dsp, and the dies are to die for. (intended pun, sorry...)
The Paper Players sketch was a joy to work with. The dsp does most of the work for this card, and the floral centerpiece gives it focus.
Other cards using this sketch can be found HERE.

THREE OF A KIND--Part II
All three of these are die cut on glitter paper, and two are mounted on a plain piece of cs so that the word "JOY" shows up better. The inside reads, "Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad." (Psalm 96:11)
These finish off my Christmas cards for this year--all 100 of them! How did I do that you might ask? Unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I've been housebound this week with a nasty cold and a car in the repair shop. To keep from going stir crazy, I stamped and die cut for pure joy!

SPEAKING OF SCRAPS...
This card was made using scraps from two other cards I made with these dsp's. Since I also had the SU! "Six-Sided Sampler" set, used on the envelope flap, it worked out great.
Aligning the hexagons are trickier than it would seem. So what I do is assemble the design using temporary tape on each piece. Once they're all aligned, I start gluing them one hexagon at a time onto a piece of coordinating cs, which I fussy cut after gluing the pieces down. Then it gets mounted with dimensionals and embellished with twine and sequins.

PEG STAMP BOUQUET
I was recently asked to make some cards for a friend who wanted to pay for a set of 10; so, why not?
This is one of the cards I made with the dsp as my inspiration. I just love all the ways my peg stamps have been used: baskets, borders, embellishments, etc.
I also lined the envelopes with the same dsp, which I purchased at Hobby Lobby awhile ago. The greeting is from a stamp and die set by Frantic Stamper.

THREE OF A KIND--Baskets of Wishes
For today's post, I played with my new SU set which was delivered here yesterday. The first card I made is for an October birthday. I stamped the basket in Walnut Stain Distress ink. The flowers were stamped in light gray and colored with glitter pens. The jute bow is the only embellishment.
The second card will be for either a late October or early November birthday. I water-colored the basket and colored the squashes with markers. I plan to add some sequins later.
Finally, I really went to town on the last one. I white embossed the basket and filled in the spaces with a white gel pen so that it would look like a ceramic basket. I used glitter gel pens for the succulents so they'd stand out from the dark green background. The dsp I chose was a scrap that also had a cutout on the top left corner; but since it was the only piece left, I covered it up with the birthday banner from a Frantic Stamper set. Enjoy!

COOL CARD FOR A HOT FRIEND
When my Silver Stamper friend from Oklahoma wrote and told me that the temps were over 100 this week, I just had to send her a card to make her feel cool.
Combining two seasons into one, I embellished the quilted snowflake with a foil butterfly from my scrap drawer.
...and I thought today's temp of 93 here in NJ was hot!

GOODBYE JUNE, HELLO JULY BIRTHDAY
This card was originally the June page from the Paper Pumpkin perpetual calendar. As I've done at the end of each month, I carefully peeled the month off and cut down the dsp to fit a card front.
After attaching the dsp, along with the gold foil banner, I added the scalloped circle, butterflies and birthday banner. A few matching sequins and some gems for the large butterfly, and the card was done.
I'm so glad these calendar pages can be redone to serve another purpose.

IN FRIENDSHIP
This card started out with a store-bought card base from AC Moore. The muted colors make a nice soft background for the bold Botanical Builder dies, especially the deep scarlet flower.
The banner is from a set of two that I got at Frantic Stamper, which also includes a number of pre-curved stamps. The die for this one comes out flat as shown, while the other one has embossed lines to fold the tails under for a popped up banner.
As you can see, I'm still have fun with this set of dies!
