New Watercolor Technique

This watercolor involved the use of regular watercolor paper, a water brush and dye inks. Although this card looks better IRL, I'm not entirely happy with the results. (Click on card for closer look at details.)

The stamps were from a clear set by Art Impressions. After watching the coordinating DVD and trying their method, it still needs some more experimenting to get it just right. I like the way the grass and the pot turned out (not the kind that is smoked--no pun intended!) but I think the flowers could have been done better. I'll have to try again soon...

To finish the card, I mounted the image on dark background paper, then on a pearlized designer paper, with gold stick-ons for bling.

hi Doris,
That is lovely, I do the workshops free, its simply the attitude of the ladies here in the UK, I know I am foreigner in this country, but it was pretty bad at my sale-a-bration workshop, all they wanted was the free goodies.....never mind, I will just have to grin and bear, as that is the way to promote yourself these days! You take care and hugs always!

I think it's beautiful! Love the wispy layered look you achieved with the flowers. They're "arranged" nicely.

Thanks for visiting Women to Women. I appreciate your comment. Hope the blog will go....we'll see what God does with it!

Blessings!

Your watercolour flowers look soft and pretty. I really like the effect.
