FEMININE WINDOW CARD
This was sooo easy to make! It's hard to see the depth of the window here, but it's mounted over the embossed piece with dimensionals.
The flowers are punched and the centers brushed with white WOS. (Did you know it comes in white?) The pearls were added to the centers, and the flowers are mounted with one on the top, one attached to the back of the green cs, and the 3rd one attached to the white cs beneath; so they're on three different levels.
The butterfly is sponged lightly with Marmalade Distress Ink and mounted with glue dots.
I like the scalloped edges peeking out from beneath the green cs. That die should get used more often!

PAPER PLAYERS #395--Sketch
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
I'm finally back! It's been a long time, with my weekly card class requiring a great deal of preparation. During those times, we also had 2 storms with power outages of 8 days and 4 days. Lots of other stuff going on... We've also had tons of rain and dreariness until just the past week, although some of you had a lot worse; so I'm not complaining.
On the good news side, Rick and I just celebrated our 51st anniversary. We usually go on a short weekend trip, but this year we're getting a new updated kitchen--YAY! We've just started the process, so I'll share the "before" pictures soon, as well as some during the upheaval and, of course, the "after" photos.
Meanwhile, I'm happy to be submitting another Paper Players challenge. This card features a rose that was stamped with No-Line Fadeout ink and water colored. I used Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks with water, staying inside the lines before the no-line ink faded away.

AUTUMN TREE 4 YOU
This photo doesn't due justice to the image, unfortunately. The image is a bit pale, but not as light as it looks here. The leaves have been coated with clear WOS for a bit of shine.
In addition to sparkle or shine, I like to add texture to my cards. I used a panel of textured yellow cs and some burlap ribbon beneath the dark brown border. I added dimensionals beneath the dark brown panel to give the image some lift (physically and visually) and kept the embellishments simple.
I can see that this set will be getting a lot of use! The set, "Modern Trees," by My Favorite Things, can be used for any season. I purchased it after seeing a card done in silver and gold on gray cs--very elegant. I plan to CASE that soon!

DISTRESS OXIDE INKS--first try
First I used the smooshing technique on watercolor paper for the butterflies using the 3 colors shown. For the front of the card, I inked up a background stamp with Broken China (blue) and spritzed it with water for a vivid effect on the kraft panel. I then mounted the panel on a Very Vanilla card base.
Since I had one more butterfly left, I used it for an Easter card shown here:
Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm starting to feel better today, so I guess the antibiotic is working. Just two days ago I thought the cat was meowing next to me, but it turned out to be me wheezing--ugh! The wheezing is gone, and I'm beginning to have more energy. So glad to be back in the Tower, even if only for 2 cards!
Thank you for your comments. I truly cherish every one of them.
