HUMOROUS BIRTHDAY CARD
The sentiment here is from a set called "Piece of Cake" by My Favorite Things. The set has several humorous sayings and a slice of cake.
I saved some of the gold foil paper by removing the center for another card. Tricky, huh?

FLY ME AWAY KIT--Bird Song
This card started with the feather dsp and a die cut bird. I decided to have him tweet a "hello"--just for you!
After attaching the embroidery floss to the dsp, I mounted the panel to the card front. The bird looked a little too dark, so I added some white Perfect Pearls to his belly and a tiny piece of silver cs behind his eye before adding him to the card front.
The greeting is a "translation" of the music note.

FLY ME AWAY KIT--Bee Hello
These two die cuts were in my stash from ages ago,
so I decided to use them on this gorgeous floral dsp in the kit.
All I had to do was cut the dsp down to size,
add some white ribbon on the side and
mount the panel on a piece of black cardstock.
After adding the greeting and the bee,
I then attached the finished panel to the bright
green card base.
DONE!

FLY ME AWAY SSS KIT--Hot Air Balloons
Although the kit included a beautiful gold metallic sheet, I chose to use my own silver cs with these colors. After cutting down the 6" x 6" sheet of 3 balloons, I stamped "Sending" in black and "birthday wishes" in a matching purple ink to mount below it. The only embellishment is the clear gem at the base of the balloon.
The other 2" of the dsp sheet was set aside for this second card. After punching the tag, I glued some fun foam on the back and mounted it over a strip of striped dsp (also from the kit). I then stamped the SU vertical greeting with Versafine warm gray ink and cut off 1/4" on the side of the card.
Two more easy cards!

SSS JUNE 2018 KIT--Fly Me Away
This kit features butterflies, bees, birds and hot air balloons--things that take to the skies, and all beautiful.
This card front was included in the kit along with a small sample of red, yellow and blue water color dots for coloring the flowers and butterfly. The sentiment captured the long winter we have finally left behind.
After painting the flowers and leaves, as well as the 2 large words, and adding some green embroidery floss, I mounted the finished panel on a purple card (from my stash.) The final touch was to add some yellow Stickles to the flower centers and some WOS to the butterfly. There was also a matching pearlized color coordinated envelope in the kit.
The SSS kits sell out fast, so I'm grateful to have been able to get this one. The cards I've made so far have turned out beautifully and were easy to make.

PAPER PLAYERS #386--Sketch Challenge
Today is the first day I got to play with some new
stamping materials. This card features dsp from a new
6x6 pad of floral designs, and the blossom is an anemone from
an Altenew stamp set I just purchased.
Since the anemone I wanted to make is white,
it gave me a chance to use my chalks again to add some
blush in the center. I haven't used them in a long time, so it was fun!

DRAGONFLY BIRTHDAY
This card features the large dragonfly from a SU! set that I found in my stash already cut and ready to go. Starting with a white card base, I added a wide dsp banner, a green circle and the dragonfly.
After adding the birthday greeting (also from SU!) I assembled the card as shown. For embellishment, I used black gems and a corner punch (SU!) I then used clear WOS on the dragonfly body to finish the card.

MARCH BIRTHDAY
Now that I've finished all the cards I need for February, it's time to start on March. It's nice to see some flowers, even if only on paper. This violet stamp has been in my stash for quite a few years, and I always love using it, although I usually use it for Easter cards. It's from Our Daily Bread Designs, and the set includes some beautiful Easter sayings.
The card is pretty self explanatory, so enjoy!

THREE OF A KIND--Wreaths
My new wreath die arrived the other day, and I finally got a chance to use it this afternoon! I've seen so many beautiful cards made with this die, including non-holiday ones. I hope to get a lot of use out of it!

EASY CHRISTMAS DESIGN
All I had to use was one tree die, some dsp for the background and a greeting...oh, and a star punch.
As soon as I get halfway through (at 50 cards) I plan to switch to Fall cards for awhile. I have some October and November birthdays, plus a few Thanksgiving cards to make.

DELIGHTFUL DAISY DUO
This card could not have been easier!
First, I used the Daisy punch on the card front as shown. After choosing a simple design of dsp, I trimmed it to 4x5 1/4 and mounted it behind the cut outs. Next, I added the two little white daisies with rhinestones in the center of each.
Using a tiny scrap from the dsp leftovers, I stamped "Happy" and mounted it above the first daisy. Then I die cut the larger word from a scrap of green cardstock. After mounting it and adding the inside greeting, the card was done.
This punch will definitely see a lot of use!

BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A FLORIDA FRIEND
This tropical drink is from a coloring book. After coloring with Distress inks, I cut it out and mounted it on fun foam. I then added some Wink of Stella on the flower and some bubbles rising from the glass.
Inside, I hand wrote "Have a tropi-cool birthday!"

PERFECT COLOR MATCH
This is a recycled card that was just too cute to throw away, especially since the colors in the bow and leaves match the Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry cardstocks I had on hand.
How convenient!

WHERE DID JULY GO?
Is it just me, or is this summer going fast??
Now that July is over (and we're that much closer to winter) I've remade the July calendar page into a new card. It will make a nice encouragement card for someone.

COOL CARD FOR A HOT FRIEND
When my Silver Stamper friend from Oklahoma wrote and told me that the temps were over 100 this week, I just had to send her a card to make her feel cool.
Combining two seasons into one, I embellished the quilted snowflake with a foil butterfly from my scrap drawer.
...and I thought today's temp of 93 here in NJ was hot!

ALL PURPOSE BOTANICAL BLOOMS
I still need a few more Easter cards, so that's what I'll most likely use this one for.
These Botanicals and matching dies are amazingly versatile!

HELLO, FRIEND
I thought it best to show the inside as well as the outside for this card. To start, I covered the front with a piece of dsp. Next, I added a strip of the coordinating dsp from the Boho collection. Then I punched out the middle square and three dsp squares with the 1 1/4" punch. Two dsp squares were glued to the purple strip, and the third was mounted on the inside of the card so that it shows through the punched square.
After adding the embellishments and the white embroidery floss on the front, I stamped the inside and added some sequins.

VALENTINE FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL
...EXTRA SPECIAL, THAT IS!
This one is going to my husband. Since the name of our property is "Fox Mountain" this image is very appropriate.
When my then boyfriend came to take me out on our first date, my dad told me "Don't let this one get away." Egads! That was a half century ago!
My dad gave me good advice.
